Reflection shapes

    • LI: Understand and apply the concepts of translation, rotation, and reflection.
    • We are learning about Transformation in Maths. We will focus on Rotation, Reflection, and Translation of shapes.
    • ranslate (Translation):

What it means: Moving a shape from one place to another without turning or flipping it.

Example: Sliding a shape to the right or up.

    • Rotate (Rotation):

What it means: Turning a shape around a fixed point.

Example: Spinning a shape 90 degrees, 180 degrees, etc.

    • Reflect (Reflection):

What it means: Flipping a shape over a line to make a mirror image.

Ataahua Reflected Shapes – Sheet1

Transformation poster by ls1

This week for maths we’ve been learning about transformation not the tv show transformers,Transformation comes with three definitions,

Rotate wich meanswhen an object is turned clockwise or counterclockwise around a given point.

And reflect wich means a type of transformation that flips a shape in a mirror line (also called a line of reflection) so that each point is the same distance from the mirror line as its reflected point.

And lastly translation moves a shape left, right, up, or down but does not turn.

(These are copy&paste from google dont do this in your poster)

Here is my work (In my OWN words) 🤓 ☝
