Reflection shapes

    • LI: Understand and apply the concepts of translation, rotation, and reflection.
    • We are learning about Transformation in Maths. We will focus on Rotation, Reflection, and Translation of shapes.
    • ranslate (Translation):

What it means: Moving a shape from one place to another without turning or flipping it.

Example: Sliding a shape to the right or up.

    • Rotate (Rotation):

What it means: Turning a shape around a fixed point.

Example: Spinning a shape 90 degrees, 180 degrees, etc.

    • Reflect (Reflection):

What it means: Flipping a shape over a line to make a mirror image.

Ataahua Reflected Shapes – Sheet1

Transformation poster by ls1

This week for maths we’ve been learning about transformation not the tv show transformers,Transformation comes with three definitions,

Rotate wich meanswhen an object is turned clockwise or counterclockwise around a given point.

And reflect wich means a type of transformation that flips a shape in a mirror line (also called a line of reflection) so that each point is the same distance from the mirror line as its reflected point.

And lastly translation moves a shape left, right, up, or down but does not turn.

(These are copy&paste from google dont do this in your poster)

Here is my work (In my OWN words) 🤓 ☝

(I dont know why its so  big)

Google at P.B.S

Today,Ls1 went into the theatre then next second google waked in and introduced the new zealand google team Tia,Simon,Steve&Caro ,everybody asked questions that has never been searched on google before.

Next,Steve gave a question to the audience a question and whoever answered it got a mystery box by Steve,They showed us some photos of some luxurious photos of there head quaters,Somthing they had in common was that their faviourite place was the lunch room because they got to have lunch 😛

After that,It was time for questions most of everyone had a strip of question they wanted to ask it was crazy because nobody,Not even the google crew has seen those questions searched up .

We had lots of fun with the Nz google crew

HHV Expectations

This week Ls1 had a visit to the Howic Historical Village

By the time we were on the bus,it got to quiet that’s when (Eneasi leaded us with some recent music including (The wheels on the bus)

While we were getting off I noticed the people there were in old, fashioned clothes I was very interested, she was telling us all about the history of the village in howic,we got to do some very amazing task.

Like..Making butter, looking at some old houses that used to be in the village,Jolly trolly’s they were so fun.. most of those tasks we just meant for the men

as we came back we had to write a procedure text how to make butter, but before everything our task was to make slides about our expectations at the Howic Historical Village here is my task;
